What files are needed for a release?+
The final audio file, standard artwork and the complete details of the work and its contributors. The exact requirements are confirmed after the assessment.
How long does a release take?+
Approval times differ from platform to platform; we recommend starting the process several weeks before your intended release date.
Do you offer rights services for a single work as well?+
Yes. The scope of the service is set by the state of the documentation and the kind of follow-up required.
Will I get status reports?+
Yes — the stages of the work and the status of any follow-up are communicated clearly.
Do I lose ownership of my work by working with you?+
No. Ownership stays with the owner of the work; distribution or publishing services do not transfer ownership. The terms and limits on the use of rights are set out in the contract.
How is revenue from plays and streaming calculated?+
Revenue is calculated from the reports we receive from the platforms and from how much the work is used and streamed, and is settled with the owner of the work according to the contract.
If I have already released my track, can I hand it over to you?+
Yes — in many cases distribution can be transferred or taken over; we first review the earlier release and the rights attached to it.
Is a formal contract drawn up?+
Yes. The type of services, the term, the rights and obligations of both parties, how settlement works and the other conditions are all set out in the contract.
Do I have to assign the copyright or ownership in order to release a work?+
No — simply receiving distribution services does not mean assigning ownership of the work. Any assignment or licence of rights, if there is one, must be stated explicitly in the contract.
What exactly does music publishing cover?+
Publishing services exist to manage and pursue the rights attached to musical works, register the details of a work and manage the rights of authors, composers and other rights holders.
Who can work with you?+
Singers, composers, songwriters, producers and other holders of rights in musical works can all apply for our services.
Do you only distribute Persian-language music?+
No. We can review and provide services for works in different languages and genres; the circumstances of each work are reviewed before we start.
How do I send my work in for release?+
Once we have the required information and files, the work is reviewed for its details, ownership and release standards, and distribution then follows the steps set out in the contract.
